Calligo is shortlisted in the Cloud Services category of the PCR Awards 2018
Calligo has been announced as a finalist in the Cloud Services category of the PCR Awards 2018, which recognises the achievements of distributors, vendors and retailers across the UK tech scene.
The judges shortlisted Calligo on account of our achievements in 2017 and our differentiation in the market.
2017 was a tremendous year for Calligo. Over the course of the year, we grew our revenues by 100% and the amount of data we handle by 200%. This came both organically, and through a series of strategic acquisitions. In October, we announced the acquisition of 3 Peaks Inc in Canada, along with its Pacific Online business, giving Calligo a new foothold in the North American market. In September, we acquired the IT services division of Guernsey-based Fusion Systems in order to provide closer support to our Guernsey customer base and strengthen our global proposition.
Later that same month, we also announced the acquisition of AMS Systems PSF in Luxembourg – a provider of managed services and cloud infrastructure to the financial sector. This opened up the Luxembourg and wider European market to us, and indeed we quickly followed the acquisition by being the first cloud service provider to bring Azure Stack to the country.
But it was not only our growth that led to the shortlisting. The judges also recognised our stand-out service delivery, unparalleled SLA-based contractual guarantees and our tailored services. Not to mention the highly differentiating GDPR-centric services we introduced in 2017. GDPR Jumpstart helps organisations rapidly mobilise in time for the May 2018 deadline, while DPO as a Service ensures that all the complex responsibilities of a GDPR Data Protection Officer are fulfilled, without the need to hire one.

And finally, we reached a series of compliance milestones. We completed the Service Organisation Control (SOC) 2 Type 1 audit, confirming the robustness and reliability of our security practices, policies, procedures and operations. This was alongside achieving full compliance with ISO 27001:2013 Information Security Management Systems certification and ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems.
After such an astonishing year, fingers crossed for awards night!
