The Design Desk will help support the sales plan as built by the Chief Commercial Officer, Senior Vice President Sales and SVP & Managing Director. The Design Desk is part of a team with a strong identity, and a reputation for a high standard of work and achievement.

The Design Desk prepares quotes, proposals, and solutions for customers and helps with customer inquiries. The Design Desk is responsible to work in partnership with the Commercial team and other departments to meet revenue objectives and ensure customer satisfaction.  As a key member of the Commercial team you will be responsible for placing orders and ensuring the timely provisioning and delivery of hardware and software solutions.

Key Duties:

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s products and services, with an ability to explain the functions, features, benefits, and costs
  • Maintaining relationships with Calligo’s approved distributors and vendors
  • Meet 100% of sales revenue targets and maintain forecast projections within +/-20% of objectives
  • Maintain targeted gross profit for Hardware and Software sales
  • Research, plan, and write implementation plans for new technology
  • Research solutions, their business impact, materials necessary, and completion time
  • Create thought out, well-structured accurate proposals and work plans
  • Ability to work on multiple proposals simultaneously
  • Ensure solutions align with customer’s business goals
  • Understand the technology available and how it operates in a customer’s environment
  • Adhere to all applicable compliance policies and procedures

Typical Activities Include:

  • Meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales activity targets
  • Preparation of quotes including verification of information on contracts and relevant documents
  • Consult with Calligo’s approved distributors and vendors for advice
  • Maintain assigned sales funnel targets by stage
  • Keep comprehensive sales records and report on activities and results by daily inputs to the company CRM.
  • Seek regular weekly updates from the support team relating to on-going projects and address any issues
  • Participate in weekly meetings, prepared to discuss status of funnel, forecast, pending projects, proposals, and challenges
  • Prepare and submit weekly sales forecasts
  • Follow up with clients to review proposed solutions, pricing, determine project start dates and obtain signed contracts
  • Vetting contracts and ensuring all supporting documentation is completed correctly
  • Notification of new orders and completion of orders for billing purposes
  • Receive signed orders and customer contracts
  • Purchase technology from Calligo’s distributors and vendors for approved customer orders
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and support team regarding customer installations
  • Provide installation details for provisioning purposes
  • Update customer with the status of their project and orders
  • A general point of contact for Post-Sales support
  • Attend training and complete courses and or certifications for Microsoft, Lenovo, and other products sold by Calligo

Skills and Experience:

  • 1+ years of IT sales experience
  • A technical background is helpful to comprehend the technology recommended
  • Ability to thoroughly understand related industry technology, articulate that knowledge and formulate effective solutions with attention to profitability
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of computers, servers, Microsoft Office 365, network devices, and firewalls
